Messy Monoprinting

12:00–16:00, last entry 15:30

Learning Studios, Sheep Field Barn

Studios & Gardens, Hertfordshire

Included in an annual ticket

Ink-on-paper print of a sculpture by Henry Moore. The sculpture has thick black lines, with a wash of blue sky and green grass behind.

About this activity

Come along to find out what a monoprint is and learn how to make your own at home and on the go!

This sculpting session has a twist. Instead of making something 3D today, we’ll draw our own ideas for sculptures through the playful medium of monoprinting.

Inspired by Moore’s drawing and printing processes, we’ll guide you through the process of creating your own unique art prints using water-washable inks.

Tickets

Entry is included in an annual ticket. This event is drop-in, so there’s no need to book. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • If you already have an annual ticket, just come along on the day and bring your annual ticket with you.
  • If you don’t have an annual ticket, you can buy one online or from the ticket desk when you arrive.

An annual ticket lets you return to Studios & Gardens as often as you like, during open season, for 12 calendar months.

Safety & accessibility

Children must be accompanied by adults, to ensure the safe use of the materials on offer during these sessions.

These sessions are suggested at ages 4+, however younger visitors may also take part at their guardians’ discretion. The sessions are widely self-led and so designed with all ages and abilities in mind.

Activities can be altered based on the needs of the participant. Please speak to a member of staff in the Learning Studios to request any necessary adjustments.

You might get messy in these sessions, so please don’t wear your best clothes! Sturdy footwear is recommended.

This workshop is subject to availability of materials and space in the Sheep Field Barn. Workshops are frequently busy, so we advise arriving early to not miss out.

Last entry is 30 minutes before the activity closes.
